The DBTAC provides information, materials, and training on the ADA.  The center cannot provide advocacy services for individuals with disabilities.  To find an advocate, try contacting the following agencies:

Protection & Advocacy Program- Agencies mandated to protect and advocate for individuals with disabilities and to investigate reports of abuse and neglect in facilities that care for and treat individuals with disabilities.

ILCs - Centers for independent living serve a cross-disability population and are consumer-controlled.  They offer a variety of programs and services including advocacy, assistive technology, consumer rights and responsibilities, peer counseling, independent living skills training, housing, information and referral, and socialization and communication.

National Resources
– Disability-specific organizations, advocacy groups, and other national and regional resources.
